Our Types of Indianapolis Industrial Plating Materials
Metal Plating– To change or coat a metal surface with an additional layer of thin metal, we use a chemical bath machine. To create an electric current to coat the base material, we electroplate your item. Metal plating is used to defend corrosion and harden the material. It is also used to increase solderability, decrease friction and many other application benefits.
Copper Plating- If you are looking for a plating application to improve the conductivity ratings, then copper plating is the perfect option for you. Whether you are looking to add or remove copper, we are able to help you out. For this application, we commonly work with aircraft parts, bearings, and more.
Cadmium Plating– Due to its high corrosion resistance, this is one of the most popular finishes. We often cadmium plate washers, timing, shafts, bolts, threaded rods and more. This plating application can be finished in as little as 72 hours!
Passivation Plating- This application is used to extend the life of your product. The first part of the plating application is to use an intense parts wash. Next, we immerse the part in a chemical bath. This bath gives the item a thin protective film. The most common products that we passivation pate are vibratory feeder systems, feeder bowls, aircraft components, and more.
Hard Chrome Plating– Known for its durability and corrosion resistance is hard chrome plating. This application is mainly used for molds, aircraft components, tools, shafts, and more. There is usually a five to seven day turn-around time for this plating application.
White Layers– After nitriding, your metal can start to develop thin brittle layers on your metal product. To spruce up your item, white layer plating will remove these brittle layers. Between white layering, we fill our tanks to guarantee the best treatment possible. Our most common white layered plated products are rings, spacers, shafts, and more.
Zinc Plating– This application is used most often for rust protection Zinc plating is one of the most cost-effective plating applications we offer.
